Kane County Early Voting Results as of October 8th
The Illinois Record is your source for real time early voting data!
The Kane County Clerkâs Office has been generous enough to provide us with the latest updates, which we will share a summary with you.
Voting in Kane County commenced on September 26, and of the 10,056 votes cast thus far, registered Democrats have accounted for 5,002 votes, while registered Republicans have cast 2,837 votes. 2,217 voters have no party affiliation.
Notably, October 3 and 4 witnessed significant get-out-the-vote efforts from Democrats, with over 1,000 votes recorded each day.
The Illinois GOP has dedicated significant fundraising to an aggressive mail-in ballot initiative called "Bank the Vote." Raising hundreds of thousands of dollars on the premise that mail-in voting was essential for Republicans to level the playing field in this election.
Lance Bell has been at the helm of the Kane Republicanâs confusing tech-driven strategy to promote permanent vote-by-mail, branded "Love Thy Neighbor. Bell tells voters â"there are a few things republicans do that fall into the realm of sin and that is waiting until the last day.... to vote""
And despite internal complaints, the Kane County GOP has banked their get-out-the-vote efforts on Surus, a consulting agency.
Yet GOP strategies seem to be stumbling, with Democrats holding a commanding lead in mail-in ballotsâ3,163 to 1,414. Yet, thereâs a glimmer of hope for Republicans: the in-person early voting gap is tight, with Democrats edging ahead at 1,839 to 1,423. This situation underscores a crucial point: effective electioneering can often obscure the true desires of the electorate.
