Kane County GOP has devious plans for Lance Bell
Chairman Androne Lerario says "Lance will not have to lift a finger" if he wins
Lance Bell, a candidate for the Kane County Board Chair, is backed by RNC Committeeman Dean White, Kane County Republican Chair Androne Lerario, and an unregistered PAC known as the "Kane County Warriors."

By simple observation, Lance Bell doesn't seem fit for public office. A Kane County GOP insider described Bell as “Clearly deficient and crazy, our candidate for executive office is supremely unqualified for the position.”
Bell’s shady business dealings and troubled finances raise serious concerns for someone aiming to chair the county board. One of Bell’s latest questionable ventures, AJ’s Java Joint in South Elgin, permanently closed in the midst of his campaign.
Most boldly, Bell claims to be a prophet. When challenged, he now says "prophet" just means "truth teller."
Brian Anderson, a leader of the unregistered Kane County Warriors, admits to concerned GOP members that Bell did not tell the truth about his background during the candidate screening process. Given that Anderson screens job candidates for a living, it raises the question of whether he's simply trying to cover his tracks.
Kane County Republican Chair Androne Lerario’s plan is so bold it raises both moral and constitutional concerns. He’s reportedly told GOP members, “Do you really think we’ll let Bell do whatever he wants once he’s in? No, of course not. He has handlers. You’ll hardly notice he’s there.”
Kane County Democrats may be celebrating Republican missteps, but Illinois is becoming a de facto one-party state without a serious opposition.
I also wonder if Illinois Republican leaders are quietly celebrating these mistakes.
Lance claims to be religious and "America First," which conflicts with the ideology of neoconservative leaders, who are more aligned with figures like John Kasich or Mitt Romney. If Bell were to lose the election spectacularly, these leaders could blame religion and conservatism rather than acknowledging the real issue: an unfit candidate.
