Richard Porter weirdly responds to the Illinois Record on Val Ojeda's Website
Porter gifted Ojeda "VIP Cubs tickets" and gives us an epic nick name
Political "wack packer" Val Ojeda claims that his resume includes the following:
Marine Veteran
Aurora Patrol Officer
Aurora Police Detective
Private contractor with Blackwater
Special investigator with the state's attorney's office
One of the original members of Donald Trump's inner campaign team
Ojeda says that he speaks with Trump’s campaign manager, Dan Scavino, on an almost daily basis.
Val Ojeda left is advising 86 year old Chad Coppie for Congress Right
One part of Ojeda’s background that does ring true is his friendship with Illinois' George Soros wannabee, Richard Porter.
Similar to power brokers on the Democratic side, Richard Porter often avoids Republican criticism through political donations and gifts. Ojeda, once a critic of Porter, now proclaims that he is "dear friends" with him. Social media posts revealed that Porter gave Ojeda and his girlfriend "VIP Cubs tickets."
Porter, a featured writer on RealClearPolitics, has chosen to respond to my criticism by posting an article on Ojeda’s blog “the Illinois republican”.
According to Ojeda, Porter approached him to "improve his reputation" and "align with the right side of the party." The article is a conversation between Porter and Me. The article is titled A Dialogue Between a Republican and a RINO Hunter: Part 1 of 2.
We hope Part 2 involves Bears tickets…
The article is an edited version of a Facebook conversation between Porter and me. The context is that Porter’s close friend, Terry Newsome, removed a Facebook post at Porter's request. While I support self censorship, I felt it was damaging to Terry’s anti-establishment brand to publicly cite Porter as the reason for taking a social media post down.
As “Republican”, Porter takes no responsibility for the Illinois Republican Party's decline into super-minority status. Porter highlights his donations to the Republican Party, but fails to acknowledge that donations and cubs tickets gain him influence/control.

As to his profanity-laced outburst against Republican Matt Gaetz…
Porter’s excuse is he believed he was having a private conversation with Congressman Matt Gaetz…. that occurred next to a CNN press conference…. on the RNC Convention floor.
Porter has shown no remorse for the misstep, instead seemingly blaming the media and onlookers for recording the incident.
Rather than discussing Republican values, ideas, or proposals, Porter focuses solely on demonizing the opposition. Deep failure of Illinois Democrats aside, this mentality fosters a cult-like environment where both parties avoid accountability by claiming, "at least we're not like the other side."
Though I love the new nick name "RINO Hunter," I believe Porter intended it as a passive-aggressive insult. Political corruption deserves a more nuanced discussion. I am asking Richard Porter to engage in a transparent, online conversation to be published on the Illinois Record….. And for Bears tickets.
