With the people of Haiti in the news, what is not discussed, I will provide a few brief insights. I'm sure many key facts have been glossed over. The low-skill-set Voter Base of Democrats cries foul, and the Republicans reinforce their xenophobia. The truth is not needed to resolve anything.
Being from Chicago and attending college in Florida, I was able to call my Haitian line brother to get his insights as an entrepreneur, independent thinker and raised in the Haitian culture. Considering Jean Baptiste Point DuSable, a Haitian who founded Chicago and sold trapped furs at the mouth of the river. I was exposed to even more common knowledge about Haitians that's uncommon to me.
Haitians are who American Negros have failed at becoming. Their culture of successful rebellion is why 20,000 of them are in Springfield, Ohio, laying down a foundation of rigor that will see them prosper. Cultural factors do exist; in the short term, I blame the local government of Springfield and the African-American elected officials in Ohio for being incompetent to let their failures of integrating the Haitians into the community absent a well-thought-out plan.
When the High School football coaches in Ohio find out how athletic and strong Haitian athletes are, there will be lots of French names on Ohio College Football jerseys from NAIA to Ohio State over the next two decades. Donald Trump's bombastic claims could be true and nothing and a nothing burger.
Nonetheless, Donald Trump isn't the biggest culprit in the Haitian migration issues in Ohio. That would go to the Clinton Foundation, which is the legacy of Bill and Hillary Clinton's political career. 230,000 people or more perished after the 2010 earthquake. The Island of Haiti received a $13.5bn pledge over a decade from the Obama Administration. $3bn from Global NGOs. Haiti has a population of 11.5 million people with a per capita income of $1,815 us dollars, per year.
Reports have surfaced that potentially billions have gone missing over the last 14 years that should have helped rebuild Haiti. Consider that the United States government under Joe Biden and Kamala Harris has spent nearly $300bn in aid to Ukraine in 30 months and another $105 billion to Israel since October 7th 2023.
Many of those billions are funding the governments and civil administration of both countries. The politically low-skill-set Voters of America are experiencing record inflation while subsidizing wars across the globe they will not see any economic benefit from. We shouldn't be worried if the Haitians are eating cats, dogs, or geese in Springfield, Ohio. You should be more worried about how long before that's what's on your kitchen table.
